My name is Michael T. Phillips and I have been teaching for several years now. I am one of those people who lives at school with all of the responsibilties I take on. I am currently a lead teacher for Technology and our LMS and am the advisor for the Mock Trial team and the Academic Games team. I also help with several sports and do the Video Yearbook. My outlook calendar is already packed once school starts and it is always hard to fit more in, but I try. I love Pittsburgh Sports, know how to make peirogies, and try to learn as much as I can everyday.
Grade Level/Discipline: Social Studies 9-12 (Global Studies, CHS Economics, American Political Systems, Alternative Program Teacher)
Few Facts about myself:
Fact 1: This is one of my last three course until I earn my second Masters
Fact 2: I am currently renovating my basement, so any tips would be appreciated
Fact 3: Every year I make a trip to California to visit my cousins
Fact 4: I went to school in London for part of my undergrad
What I'd like to learn or get out of this course: I would like to get a better understanding of how I can entertain and streamline all of the technology that is at my fingertips. How can I keep all of my students engaged and offer them the best education possible without forgetting all of the passwords and requirements that keep getting piled on top of me? How can I make education relevant to the Net-generation?
